11 x 7.25” album which is missing the back cover and part of the front cover; the inside front cover reads: “To Mary… [illegible]... Christmas 1919.” Full of over 280 black and white photographs and photo postcards, this album mostly features pictures of people with many of women. There are some very interesting photos of women who seem to be participating in mock weddings (5 photos), with one woman dressed as a bride and the other as a groom. There are also plenty of photographs of children and some adorable photos of dogs. The photos seem to be mostly split between Maine, especially the Moosehead Lake area, and New Hampshire (specifically Hampton Beach and Mt. Washington Hotel), but there are also photos from Willowdale, Trippett’s Camp, and Camp Devens. Photos measure between 1.25 x 1.25” and 9.5 x 3.5” and most are held to the pages by corner tabs, although some have been taped in . While most of the photos are captioned, individuals are not typically identified by full name, if they are identified by name at all. The Cudworth Family is mentioned in one caption. The photos range in date from 1917-1936 and they do not appear to be chronologically arranged when moving through the album from beginning to end. There are around 13 loose photos and at least 6 appear to be missing. You can feel the fun as you page through this album!
