9" x 11" University loose leaf notebook Kept by Alice E. Morrill of Manchester, New Hampshire in the early 1930s. There are eighteen pages used with over 50 fabric/edging samples. Descriptions of each item include what the fabric is used for, the cost per yard, and how it launders. On the first page, there is also an award ribbon from 1930 for first price at a local exhibit for the Boys' & Girls' Club.
Other items include: "Progress Transfer Initials," with some used, 12 extension bulletins including ones for dressmaking, women's exhibits at fairs,helpful hints for sewing, clothing records, etc., a premium and another ribbon and a letter from the US Dept. of Agriculture Extension Service.
There is some wear to the loose items, and some of the fabric samples have creases. A nice look at depression era fabrics, uses and costs.
