1893 WORLD'S COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION CYANOTYPE PHOTO ALBUM
There are about 170 cyanotype photos in this 9.5” x 12” photo album with rigid pages and a label with 1898 on the cover. There are no annotations, but there are recognizable photos from the Columbian Exposition in Chicago from 1893, including the Ferris wheel, the World’s Congress of Beauty, and other known buildings.
Other photos show the Great Northern Elevator building which I believe is in Buffalo, NY, men with stringed instruments, a dentist, African Americans, street scenes, a street parade with a big shoe on wheels, camels, elephants, performers, including a Native American, a train, family photos, etc.
The photos are various sizes and shapes and are glued to the page. One photo is stained, otherwise the album is complete. The label on the cover is chipped and the front and back hinges are cracked.
A lovely complete album of cyanotypes.
