1910s MICHIGAN AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE MAC PHOTO ALBUM - SPORTS
5.75” x 8” photo album with about 235 photos of various sizes, glued to the page. There is a card for Ralph Crissman Sweeney, attached to the front cover. Sweeney was born in 1896 in West Bay Michigan, and died in 1990 in Ingham, MI. This photo album dates from around 1910 to 1920, with several school football photos from that time period, a Frat Rush from M.A.C. (Michigan Agricultural College), two photos of Michigan Governor, Woodbridge Ferris being sworn in on January 1, 1913, two Michigan Senate composite photos from the 1913-1914 legislature, railroad construction pics, a military photo of “Co. G, 1915 - Prize Company,” a photo of Williams Hall, which was destroyed by fire on new year’s day, 1919, etc. One loose real photo postcard is addressed to Ralph and shows a girls basketball team with the girls identified on the verso.
A handful of photos are missing and only a few are annotated and those appear to be mostly real photo postcards, where the photo is identified within the negative.
