A collection of seventeen photos, that begin in 1937 and show a child named Mary Ellen Bartlett who was about 3.5 years old, and has severe deformities, perhaps from burns. The photos show her age after apparently having had different surgeries, with skin grafts. The images range in size from 3.5" x 5" to diptychs which measure 5" x 7." One photo has her name written on the back, while some of the others have her initials and sometimes the date. The photos of her as an adult are undated, but appear to be from the 1950s. A few of the photos have creases or edge wear. A fascinating look at the life of someone who survived a life altering event.
