COSTUME DESIGNS for SHAKESPEARE PLAYS etc., with FABRIC SWATCHES c. 1950

Item #819

11 large (14” x 21 7/8”) costume designs and one smaller page with fabric swatches from c. 1950. Three drawings are for the Shakespearian comedy, the Taming of the Shrew, two renderings are of characters from Charles Dickens novel, “Great Expectations, three are for Sheridan’s “School for Scandal, and three are for “Nina”. All renderings are accredited to M. Dufault.

The drawings were made with colored pencil. Each drawing is well-labelled and the drawings are taped to the page. The Taming of the Shrew renderings are on black poster, School for a Scandal renderings are unattached, “Great Expectations” renderings are taped to red poster board, and “Nina” renderings are taped to black poster board.

Fabric swatches are provided for some of the designs. Some of the drawings have light smudging and there is some edge wear to some. A nice look at costume design.

Price: $200.00
