BOARD GAME PROTOTYPE by WOMAN DESIGNER 1958

1958. Item #810

Prototype board game for a game called "Musical Alphabets."  The 10.75" x 15.5" box is covered with paper and decorated with images of children with ice cream, and there are round discs that spell out "Musical Alphabets."  Taped inside the cover is a piece of paper which says "This game was invented and designed byKathryn Connolly, 3 Prospect St., Beverly, Mass., March 24, 1958." Inside there are game pieces in two smaller decorated boxes, and two game boards that fold out.  There is also a direction sheet, which says the game can be played with two to four players and that the game is good for teaching  spelling and arithmetic.  I was told by the dealer that sold me this, that Kathryn worked for Milton Bradley in Massachusetts, but this particular game was never made.  There is foxing to the outside box.  The inside is in very good condition and appears to be complete. .
