HONDURAS PHOTO ALBUM 1905 by ENGINEER EDWARD EASTON - CENTRAL AMERICA
Item #804
Small 5.5" x 7" photo album with just five 3.75" x 4.5" photos from a trip to Honduras in 1905. Written on the first page is "A few of the things we saw inthe jungles of Honduras. Compliments of E. E. Easton, Washington, DC, 3/4 '05."
Also included is a letter addressed to Edward Eugene Easton from 1907, which appears to be from his wife.
An internet search finds a biography of Easton, which includes that he was President of the Engineers’ Exploration Company, Ltd., of Los Angeles, California, and one interesting tidbit says "In 1905 he explored the jungles of Spanish Honduras, known as one of the most dangerous regions for a white man in all the world."
Not all of the pages are used and there is fading to the photos as you can see in the scans.
Price: $200.00
