7.5 x 8.25” black photo album with “Kodak Library” on the front cover in a copper-gold color. The first page reads: “Manhattan State Hospital School of Nurses, Ward’s Island, N.Y., Class of ‘47. Adell V. Dal Porto.” Contains over 135 black and white snapshots of Adell and her friends and fellow students at the nursing school. Some pictures even seem to be taken from the rooftop of one of the school buildings. There are also photos of some Army men, but most images are of Adell and friends at school, out and about, and swimming. Photos measure between 1.75 x 2.25” and 6 x 3.5” and are held to the pages with corner tabs, annotated with names. Unfortunately, around 50 photos appear to be missing, but those that remain show an insider’s look at the US Cadet Nurse Corps nursing school, on Ward’s Island in New York City in 1944/1945.
