11.5 x 7.5” black string-bound album that reads “Aloha Hawaii” on the front in gold and shows an embossed figure of a man. Contains about 300 small photos from 1933 that show uniformed men in Hawaii. Places in Hawaii shown include Koko Crater, Honolulu, Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, and the Wai’anae Range. There are wonderful views of nature, including mountains and the ocean, as well as beaches. The man that put this album together, liked to go on hikes with his friends, and names that are mentioned include Benny Bennett, Denise DuPont, Ellen Bayden, Francis Brown, Jean Bodga, Nona Elkins, Helen Mountford, Ray Pratt, Capt. Wade, etc. Photos measure between 1.25” x 1.75” and 1.75” x 1.25” and are held to the pages with corner tabs, accompanied by some annotations identifying locations. A few photos are missing and the last few pages are unused.
