12 x 10” textured black album; the inside front cover has a bookplate which contains an illustration and reads: “This book belongs to Mary C. Hagans.” Contains around 250 black and white vernacular photos from the 1920s of Mary’s friends and family, not including around 40 commerical travel photos. Mary mostly includes pictures of her family and friends, children, and boxing. Places she visited include Parkersburg, West Virginia; Alexandria, Virginia; Gettysburg, Pennsylvania; Washington, D.C.; Vernon, Virginia; and Arlington, Virginia. There are amusing and information photos of the rates of toll on the Cumberland Road in Pennsylvania and Hobbs Grade and Surface Guide. Photographs measure between 2.75 x 2” and 5.75 x 3.5” and are glued to the pages, accompanied by some partially faded annotations that mostly identify locations. The album is not completely full.
