7.5 x 4.75” small black photo album with “Photographs” on the cover in gold and a worn spine. Contains around 148 black and white photos from 1910 to 1912 which largely show a group of young women, their chaperones, and some young men as they enjoy areas including Gales Ferry, Stonington, and Mason’s Island, Newport, Rhode Island, Watch Hill, and Newark, New Jersey. There are also some photos of children. There are around 4 photos taken of train wrecks, including two where cranes are being used to move detritus. There is also one hand-colored photograph. Photos are pasted to the page along one edge only. Two are missing and a couple are loose. You can feel the fun in this album.
