7.5 x 4.5” small black album with “Photographs” in gold on the cover. This compact little album contains nearly 100 black and white photos measuring between 2.5 x 4.25 and 4 x 2.5” which are glued to the pages, with annotations written on the photos. The beginning of the album features exciting photos from an aviation meet with flying biplanes and aeroplanes and even a plane on fire. There are then images from a parade celebrating the 150th anniversary of the town of Athol, Massachusetts with parade floats including one for Robert Burns, and another one for an RCA Victrola, etc. This is followed by photos from a pilgrimage made by the Knights Templar to Bangor, Maine, featuring photos of many buildings and streets in Bangor, including the ruins of a 1911 fire. The rest of the album contains photos from a War Game in southern Connecticut, which I believe is a GAR meetup. Some of the captions in this section include 6th Regiment Wagon Train, 71st NY Regiment, 7th NY Gray Jackets, “Sherman was right,” 1st New Jersey Battery, etc Ending the album are some of the more important buildings and monuments in Hartford, Connecticut, including Mark Twain’s house. The album is complete and in good condition.
