12.25 x 9.75” black string-bound album containing over 200 black and white photos and photo postcards from trips to California, Mount Rainier National Park, British Columbia, and Alaska from in the 1920s. Most of the photos depict mountains, rivers, waterfalls, and nature, although the group that went on these trips is also frequently shown; in particular, there are some wonderful pictures of a group of women in hiking clothes, some interesting photos of sled dogs in Alaska, and a picture in front of The Great Divide between Alberta and British Columbia. There are also 2 real photo postcards of President Warren Harding from his 1923 visit to Alaska. Photographs measure between 2.25 x 2.75” and 5.5 x 3.5” and are held to the pages with corner tabs. Some of the photos have annotations identifying locations on the back. Snapshots are interspersed with real photo postcards and some commercial photos. There appear to be about 4 photos missing and the album is not entirely filled. One loose photo is dated 1934, though the album appears to be mostly from the 1920s.
