Item #556

5.5” x 7” suede covered photo album with an image of a building identified as the Natatorium, Boise, Idaho along the bottom edge. There is a total of fifty-eight photos, with thirty-four attached to the page and twenty-four loose photos. There are eight panoramic photos which measure 2” x 6.5” and the other photos are various sizes, with most that are attached to the page measuring about 3.5” x 4.5.” Some of the loose photos have names or places written on the versos and some of the photos in the album are identified on the page, though some of the writing is very light and hard to make out. The album looks to be mostly from Idaho and Yellowstone Park, and one penny photo of two women, is dated 1889 and is from a photographer in Jacksonville, Mississippi. The photos look to be mostly from the 1890s, and interesting images include women walking over a scary looking footbridge, Native Americans, horse drawn carriages, Boise Barracks, etc.
