1920s WEST INDIES PHOTO ALBUM - VENEZUELA, CURACAO, PUERTO RICO

There are about 170 snapshots in this 7.25” x 12” photo album from the late 1920s, that show photos of travel in the West Indies, including Venezuela, Curacao and Puerto Rico. There is one typewritten menu in Spanish from 1927, which was for a farewell banquet for a Spanish teacher, Mr. Earl T. Warren. The menu has a tipped-on photo of a group of men who were in his class, and apparently, Warren was an employee of Standard Oil Co. in Venezuela. One of the men pictured is Robert Huff, and the album appears to have belonged to him, with some other ephemera from him in the album as well, including a later added card showing that he was a WWI Veteran and was in the Vallejo Barracks No. 223, in Vallejo, California. Photos show the travelers with natives, oil wells, baseball, etc. Only the first few pages have annotations written on the page, though most of the photos appear to be from the same time period and area. The front cover is detached and a few pages are loose. The back few pages are unused and around 8 photos are missing.
