11.5 x 7.5” photo album with a dark brown cover that features gold circle decorations and embossed designs. The front cover is beginning to come loose from the spine of the album. The album consists of around 59 black and white photographs of a trip to Mexico undertaken by Pauline Otte. The photographs measure between 3.25 x 2.25” and 5.5 x 3.5” and are held to the page with corner tabs. There are clippings from the Mexico tour brochure pasted into the front page with a condensed itinerary that help identify some of the locations shown in the photos. Images feature the streets of Mexico, cathedrals, markets, a bull fight, missions, and the other tourists who went on the trip. There are captions written on white labels which are pasted onto the page. The album is about half filled. Other ephemera include the entire tour brochure, a brochure for the House of Tiles in Mexico City, mint wrappers, a peso, and a menu for a restaurant. There are also two loose envelopes. Within one envelope is a letter to Pauline from Luisa, which includes a menu, receipts, and tour instructions. The other envelope holds blank stationery from Hotel Reforma. Two items are missing from the pages, otherwise it is in good overall condition.
