Item #353

A HUGE scrapbook containing items from over 50 years of Charles Miller’s Masonic membership in Springfield, Massachusetts. He was Melha Shriner and the first Melha Potentate from 1897-1902, and was part of the Royal Arch Morning Strand and part of the York Rite.

At almost 7 pounds, this scrapbook uses about 90 of its 100 pages and measures 10’ x 12.5” x 3.” It dates from the 1890s to the early 1950s, with most items from the 40s.

There are too many items to mention here, but there are photos, programs, letters, handwritten items, ribbons, a cabinet card photo of what I believe is the Masonic building in Springfield, invitations, newspaper clippings, etc.

One clipping says “Charles H. Miller, who has been a member of the Masonic order for 58 years, was honored at a reception which was held by members of Morning Star Chapter, RAM, at the Masonic Temple Friday night….”

A wonderful collection kept by one man who was devoted to his role in this Fraternal organization.

Price: $275.00
