There are 80 snapshots in this 6” x 8” suede covered photo album. Written on the first inside page is “Dora Mabel Fish, Christmas, 1901.” The beginning of the album is annotated and there are photos from the Cliff House in San Francisco, Sutro heights, Stanford University, St. James Park in San Jose, etc. The last two thirds of the album are unidentified, but there are other places that look to be out west, while there are a few from Philadelphia, a woman on a spinning wheel, barefoot schoolboys, etc.
A quick search of Fish finds that she was a member of a prominent Sacramento Family and married John D. Morris of Taos, New Mexico in 1916. She was involved in Christian Missionary work and teaching and traveled the country. This album is from when she was a young girl.
The album is complete and in overall good condition.
