5.25” x 7.25” circa 1920s handmade photo album with thirteen silver-print photos inside. Written on the cover is “Arnold Arboretum, Sunday, April 24,” and at the bottom is the name “Allen L. Cobb.” Each photo has a handwritten annotation, which mostly describes the photographer’s thoughts, not always an identification. They include Cherry Blossoms, Upland, The Awakening Willow, April’s Path, Spring Sunshine, etc. One photo is of two women wearing cloche hats, while the rest show trees and scenes in the park. The binding is loose with one photo detached and a few have yellowing towards the binding. A lovely look at the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University, a large park in Boston, designed by Landscape Architect Frederick Olmstead.
