1920s AMUSEMENT PARK PHOTO ALBUM PAGES - ROLLER COASTERS

Item #268

This is an amazing lot of 1920’s photos from different amusement parks or carnivals, featuring roller coasters, the Globe of Death, a dog on a Ferris Wheel, and animal show, etc. This is an incomplete photo album as found. There are five 7” x 11" pages with thirty-three 2.375" x 3.5" photos. It appears that these amusement parks are from all over, and a few are recognizable but others need to be researched. The first page has "California Shows at Springfield Exposition, Oct., 1923." At first, I thought this was the Eastern States Expo in Springfield, Massachusetts, but I am unsure. A few photos are from Nantasket Beach in Massachusetts, the Globe of Death is possibly from Luna Park in Australia, one building says "Cohoes," which I believe is in New York, and a page which missing photos is from New Hampshire. One page shows a group of men by a sign for tickets, and on a car of an empty roller coaster. My gut tells me that they were park designers, but unfortunately, they are not identified. Some of the photos show unusual views from at the top of a roller coaster and others were taken from a height. A terrific grouping. All pages are shown.

Price: $995.00
