US POSTAL SERVICE AFFIRMATIVE ACTION WEEK POSTERS, 1980–1981 — EEO & WORKPLACE DIVERSITY

Item #1733

Two United States Postal Service Eastern Region Affirmative Action Week posters, each measuring 11 x 15¾ inches. The blue poster advertises the May 10–16, 1980 observance with the slogan “Your Career is in Your Hands” and is credited to Vivian Crawford. The green-and-white poster announces the June 15–19, 1981 observance, emphasizing cultural and ethnic awareness, career development, and “A Time for Involvement.” Both direct employees to EEO personnel and related workplace resources. The 1981 poster has considerable wrinkling, creasing, and edge wear; the 1980 example has lighter handling wear and corner creases. An uncommon pair of internal USPS posters documenting federal workplace affirmative-action and diversity initiatives of the early Reagan era.
