Nine 4 7/16” x 2 7/8” snapshot photographs display the racist convictions of a white family embarking on shameless tour of the South. From Tennessee to Alabama, this white family was sure to pose for photographs beside African American children and adults as though they were there for their own entertainment.
Each image is provided with a caption on the recto with some on the verso as well. Captions include, “Paying the darkies for their pictures & taking their address,” Negros with one team going to town”, “Mid near Nashville, Tenn. Negro boy,” “Beulah holding negro baby in Alabama,” etc.
Images show some wear, especially in the corners. One photos is over exposed. Please see scans.
