1947 HANDWRITTEN DIARY kept by a woman

40.00

Handwritten diary kept by Esther C. Bryson in 1947.  This 5.5" x 8" leather bound diary was a company Christmas gift from Edward Blacke Company in Newton Center, Massachusetts.  I'm not sure where Esther lived, but other places mentioned include Norumbega, Hartford, Watertown, Boston, etc.  She talks of family events, Shirley Temple giving birth to a baby girl, Mr. Bailey dying of a fractured skull after a fall, "President Truman proclaimed end of War II hostilities," etc.   She writes everyday, though some days are just a couple of sentences.
